In February 2025, Contract Manager and TIM Management, the two oldest temporary management companies, have merged to create the largest company in the sector in Italy. Following the merger, it has been decided to use only the Contract Manager brand, and Domenico Costa, former President of TIM Management, took on the role of President of the new Contract Manager.
A bit of history
TIM Management, the first Italian temporary interim management company, was founded in 1987 in Milan by Albino Colini and Domenico Costa, to provide managerial assistance to companies seeking flexible managerial resources to manage a phase of development or transition. A few months later, Contract Manager was founded in Milan in 1989 by Angelo Vergani, along with CAST, a strategic consulting company created by some professors from Bocconi University.
With these two companies, temporary management was born in Italy, an innovative solution that allowed all companies to recruit highly experienced and operational managers for temporary assignments.
Today, a new entity is born, combining the strengths of the two companies that invented temporary management in Italy, bolstered by 40 Senior Managers and a database of over 10,000 experienced Temporary Managers available across all sectors and functions. This larger, stronger, and more robust company leverages the experience of the best Italian managers to respond even more effectively to the needs for development, change, and transformation of Italian companies.
