It is ideal for assignments in the sense that specific professional qualifications within the sector are not required except in a very few cases. A specialist in this function is fairly adaptable.
All kinds of critical issues in this area may warrant the intervention of Contract Manager s.r.l. It could be to cover an unforeseen management vacancy due to the resignation of the head of function or one of the key people in finance, accounting or control. Or the whole function may require complete reorganization, taking on new resources and adopting new instruments of management and budget control. There could be a project to float the company on the stock market. In other cases there is a need to manage a financially critical situation involving complete renegotiating of debt to the banks or an overhaul of control and reporting systems to bring them up to multinational standards.
In all these cases it is far more effective to appoint an expert manager on a temporary basis than to resort to a consultancy firm, who would study the problem, draw up a document and propose solutions which in the end may not be accepted and applied.
Temporary management projects in this area may last from eight to twelve months or up to two years.
